Customs upgrading in India affects customs clearance

The Indian Customs will upgrade the system from February 1 to February 5,2021 to update the fiscal budget policy for 2021-2022. The goods arriving at the port / airport during the period will not be cleared.

Freight forwarder should adjust shipment plan in time, pay attention to arrival time, avoid high storage charges and fines.

According to the Indian customs policy, after the goods arrive at the airport / destination port, the consignee must make a BOE declaration within 24 hours.

BOE penalty standard: the first 3 days of 5000 rupees / day, the fourth day of 10000 rupees / day.
