Prior to 23 November, Suzhou B&A International Logistics issued a notice saying, Due to the stricter customs inspection of imported refrigerated containers, Causes slow delivery of incoming refrigerated containers, Tianjin port faces a serious shortage of available refrigerated containers.
For this purpose, Suzhou B&A International Logistics impose a congestion surcharge of $1300 per container to cover possible additional charges. this fee will be effective on NOV. 24 for all refrigerated goods arriving at Tianjin port.
At the same time, the Suzhou B&A International Logistics recommends that shippers consider unloading cargo at other ports of destination, where permitted, especially those goods that are more time-sensitive.
